Planning a website that will achieve the goals you have set for your business is probably the most difficult part of the entire Internet marketing process.  Yet, most people completely bypass this important step or, worse, just turn the whole project over to a website designer to handle.

By strategically planning your new website or an update of your existing website, you will ensure you have a marketing piece that showcases your business to its best, allows you to be in control of ongoing content updates, and achieves the goals you have set for your business.  Here are a few steps to use in the planning process:

    1.  Create a list of anything your website visitors will want to know about the product or service you are offering.  Using the website for a school, for an example, you would probably discover that visitors would be looking for information on the staff at the school, classroom size, attendance numbers, and sports programs.  Try to list every possible topic about your industry, service or product that a visitor to your new website might be interested in knowing.

    2.  Imagine for a short time that you are a potential website customer.  Visit and review some websites similar to the one you will offer as if you were a potential customer.  As a visitor who is genuinely interested in your product or service, what are the good things and bad things about each site you visit?  Are you driven to take action?  Can you find what you are looking for fast? How many times do you have to click to find what you are looking for?  Note all this data down with the intent of making your new website as easy for your visitors to use as possible.

    3.  Do keyword research to find out what visitors will be searching for. There are free keyword search tools through Google that are completely adequate for this type of research.  By typing in a general phrase such as “exercise video”, other keywords will come up that are related.  These are the topics that people are searching for already.  Knowing this, you can plan your website content to answer their questions up front.

    4.  Plan your new website so that it can expand.  Stay away from website formats that can’t be expanded easily to add products and new pages.  A good website is a constant work in process.

    5.  Plan a website that you can control, rather than be at the mercy of a web designer to make even small changes to your website.   Old fashioned websites that only a web developer can change do not work in today’s dynamic Internet marketing environment that demands new content added regularly.  It is to your advantage to plan a website platform that will allow you to add content quickly and simply.

Usually, a new website is one of your business’ largest expenses.  Don’t waste it with an inferior website that doesn’t support your business objectives.

Most of us at times need advice on different aspects of life and the thought of obtaining a website can be quite a daunting task for many people. There are so many people offering cheap web design services, therefore how do you know who to choose and what to look for.

Within this over competitive business sector there are certainly some bargain to be had. I personally would suggest that a professionally built website should cost on average no more than one hundred pounds.

I am not a web designer myself; I am actually involved in the training for foster carers, external doors and Voucher Codes industries – these keep me busy enough!

So where can I find some a person or company to design and build me a site at such a cheap fee?

These are the places I would be looking:

    internet search engines

    yellow pages

    asking family and friends

    newspaper advertisements

    shop window advertisements

internet auction websites such as ebay

When you have found a designer who is going to build your website, you need to find the content for your website, choose colours and graphics and think of the page titles for each page. I personally like to name the pages of the site as the key phrases that I believe people are likely to search for.

So your high quality website is now live on the internet; it is now time to start thinking of the best ways to promote it. Building up your backward links is becoming increasingly important and will eventually lead to higher search engine positions and therefore more traffic to your website.

Writing articles like the one you are reading is also of value as people are able to use them for free on their website, thus creating you an additional backward link.

There are additional opportunities to make money from the site via a program such as google adsense. This is where you agree that Google can place their clients adverts on your site. When a visitor clicks on the ad you earn money.

There are a heck of a lot of companies and individuals who are offering a website design service these days and for this reason there are many bargains to be had. There is no longer any reason why people should pay huge amounts of money to obtain a website.

I have helped many businesses to gain a cheap web design services, including businesses to do with jobs in foster carestuttering and for a composite door company – I am sure that you can also obtain a website for an affordable fee.

It is then a case of knowing how to gain access to these affordable web design services. This would be my advice:

    The search engines

The search engines is the first place I would try, searching under the search term of bargain web design service. The results on the right hand side of the search engine Google are the paid advertisements and are called Google adwords. These companies are actively seeking business and are therefore likely to offer you a bargain. The sites in the natural listings are typically the companies who are the major players in their industry and who are more likely to be charging the big bucks. I would however e-mail these companies as they may well be eager to obtain your business~I would however e-mail these companies as they may well be eager to obtain your business}.

    Internet auction websites

I know of many people who have found themselves a bargain on auction websites, like ebay. People or companies at times offer their services for a very cheap rate, normally to drum up some very much needed business. This is especially true around Christmas time.

You can also look in the local yellow pages and by asking other business contacts as to where they obtained their website from and also how much it cost them.

When finding a company or person to build the website always take a look at their portfolio as this will give you an insight into the work they do.

If you are looking for website design in Gainesville, you have lots of companies to choose from. Having a solid idea about what you expect for a website can assist you to find the right person for the task.

Let’s face it… If your business doesn’t already occupy a spot on the internet, you are getting passed up by boat loads of potential new customers. More people than ever before are surfing the internet due to the current economic downturn. The phone book is pre-historic compared to the internet, and people would rather search for things that they can see images and video.

Your website is the vehicle to bring your talents, goods and services to the rest of the world. It shows people your personality and the potential ways that you can help them. The internet is limitless place to do business because you can connect without physically being there. It will allow you to gain time, because a website works for you twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.Information capture and sales are just a few things that it can do for you once it is set up properly.

Some people misunderstand website design and development. Almost anyone can build a website, and there are lots of people building them. The thing that you should really understand is that if you want to have a website, you will have to have a plan to market the site as well. Having a site without a marketing plan is like having a car with no gas, or like having an awesome restaurant with great food and no one to eat it.

Some designers understand that, and others don’t. As long you know that, you will be well on your way to attaining the right services for what you are looking to create. By starting this process, you will move ahead, while the rest are getting left behind.
