If your network marketing company has a great product and a great compensation plan it seems incredible to see that so many associates who come into this industry fail to create much money and set themselves up with a solid financial future. The earning power that this business system offers really is amazing when you consider the power of building a downline and having hundreds of people underneath you all eager to grow their business, in theory you should almost be able to take a back seat and watch the profits roll in.

I have had chance to speak with various mlm’ers over the last month or so, some successful and some not, I believe that the main reasons people are not making the grade is lack of training and lack of positive action! It’s unfortunate that most network marketing companies and sponsors simply don’t provide the required training in order for new recruits to get money into their pockets quickly. Retention rates in this industry are around a shocking 15%! A lot of rookies feel that they just don’t get the support they need from their sponsors and coupled with the fact that most of the old school prospecting methods are not really pulling in the results they used to.

It is so important to learn and implement attraction marketing in this business, I learned from the master himself Mike Dillard and since putting his principles into action I have been able to build a very profitable business and work with like minded people. If you have not yet already, check out his products and insist that your new recruits do also. When you start to market and brand yourself, if you are doing it in the correct way you will be a magnet for the right people to you and you can begin to build a relationship with them and done correctly they will be investigating you and your business! better than you having to pitch them endlessly!.

Attraction marketing is very effective when used correctly online. An important thing to remember is, don’t be one of those amatuers who annoys everyone by posting links everywhere advertising ‘Best Opportunity ever, make $$$ overnight, Best Payout ever’ etc…you know the kind of things im talking about, just take a look in your email spam box. People will do business with people that they know and trust, it is plain to see that you will get much better results by marketing yourself and what you can give to your prospects in the way of support and very valuable training. Always give true value!

To grab your prospects attention and trust you must offer them true value, do more than what others are doing and stick out from the marketing noise and put yourself in the position of authority and get the results that you deserve. You must have systems employed that will do most of the prospecting for you on auto-pilot, I mean things like auto responders and videos, emails you compose only once and then can be read by thousands over and over again, videos you create only once and can be watched by hundreds.

It pays to make sure your team is aware of these strategies so they can maximise their results and in turn benefit you. Attraction marketing wins the game, not spam marketing. In tough economic times, there have always been companies that try a new way to market their products/services. Sometimes they have a great idea and others are either illegal or not business functional. One very successful marketing strategy has been selling products directly to the consumer. The concept here is to show you advantages and benefits of direct sales – multi level marketing MLM, here are a few success tips. This is not a new idea. In fact, if you are over 50, you will likely remember your parents having friends over to talk about a business opportunity. This was Amway. There were several others that pioneered the industry, including; Nutri-bio and Shaklee. Before the Internet, information did not travel as quickly, so if you one of the early players in this type of business, stuck with it and worked hard, you are likely very rich now and enjoying the benefits of your labor. However, with the Internet now being a primary player, more companies are making MLM the marketing concept for their business, but equally as many scam artists are offering what may appear to be real home based businesses, but are illegal Pyramid Schemes. First off all, realize that the legitimate companies that are marketing their products via an MLM are legally structured business models. Every company that directly sells their products/services to the end user is not a scam. Many of the companies trying to get you to spend your money with them may be scams, but the concept is legal and if worked properly, can offer many people an opportunity to make a lot of money. BUT THEY ARE NOT GET RICH SCHEMES! In the beginning and until recently, it was pretty easy to find good solid companies that had chosen this direction to market their products/services. The Internet has become a prime player in these types of businesses, but even now most people do not understand how this business works, so they shut themselves out and anyone trying to present a program to them. It is truly amazing that MLM has evolved to where most people have more credibility with total strangers than their relatives and friends. Some of this comes from the fact that many people who have become believers in MLM have done a good job in making that decision, but have become MLM hoppers! There are numerous Direct Sales companies that are worth your time and effort. However, there is also a right way to build your business. If you run your home based business like a real business, pretend it is like a retail shop, then you can start building a foundation that will ultimately, when the time is right, allow you to start building your down line of supporters. If you have found a company that you like. They offer good products/services, the compensation plan can pay you and allow you earn from your down line, and they are paying you on time, THEN STAY THERE! Devote yourself to a plan. Set some goals and work towards achieving them. Now, that being said, it is imperative that you find a company that is capable of doing all of those things. Once you do, follow simple steps to start building your business. This is nothing different than if you owned a retail shop. You must build a foundation of customers first. Any company that tells you to spend your time sponsoring, or signing up people, is telling you wrong thing, for one. It is likely that they will get shut down, because it is not legal to just sponsor people, you must sell a product or a service to be legal. As you find customers that use and buy your products, regularly, then and only then, should you start discussing the business opportunity that is attached to your company. When you meet with them, you can explain that there is an opportunity to earn more money, later, but establish that they need to do what you are doing and that is building a small residual income by selling your products/services at retail. Now, if you are just starting out in this industry, and hopefully you are, because the biggest new problem with this industry are people called MLM hoppers. These are people that are always changing companies. Newer, bigger, better, more money offered, etc. Are the reasons that people do this, but again, think about this. If you are always changing, the efforts that you put into the first company is wasted. Here you spent time building customers and started a down line, and you built everyone to believe that this company is the next coming. Now, you call everyone to tell them about your new deal and a couple of things happen. You instantly lose credibility. You also, likely start alienating friends and relatives because they think you are a flake. So, if you start something, finish it for a change. Eliminate your fears. If you find a company that has some successful history, has great products/services, has a compensation plan that can earn you good money and is fair to the down line people, get in and give it a shot. But, make it a legitimate shot. If you decide to get into the direct selling industry, even if it is to be part time, then devote some time to it and do it properly. Build the retail base, get some happy customers and then build your mega company. Do it the same way the Bill Gates built Microsoft or the way that Ray Kroc built McDonalds. This will give you what you want out of the business and you will earn money, enjoy some time freedom and likely have some fun. When you consider the Network Marketing business model we see a system that has the potential to rake in a fair amount of cash and it shouldn’t be that difficult to do.  Sure hard work is required but it’s not exactly rocket science.  Lots of networking companies out there offer fantastic products and an attractive payout plan that offer some profound leverage.  How come we hear so many failure stories and hear of ridiculous statistics like that of a 15% retention rate in the industry?

Over the last few months i’ve had contact with many people in this industry and people who have not made a success of it have all said the reason they did not make it is due to lack of support from their sponsor and company.  Most say that they simply didn’t get any significant training other than ‘go and talk to your friends and family’ or ‘just talk to as many people as you can about the business’

In today’s market these methods don’t really work, we are swamped out with the lastest money making schemes and there is always someone around the corner trying to sell us something, so as a society we have built up a resistance to the common sales pitch.  Most folk will discover that the traditional recruiting methods are not really that effective in constructing a vast team of distributors in our business.  I experienced all this in my early days as a MLM rookie.

If you are giving out some real value to your prospects then you will get far better results than just pitching your company.  People tend to switch off to such websites in todays market, there’s goodness knows how many folks on the internet pitching links to a company website that claims to be the ‘best thing since sliced bread’

Providing more value is a number one way to get more prospects, people will become link up with your organisation.  Always remember people do business with people that they trust, its human nature.  Your prospects need a leader to follow and to instruct them, if you allow it and get into the right mindset and educate yourself, you can become that leader.  Those that will be leaders are the one’s who will be at the top in this industry, make definite you will be one of them and ensure sure that you are utilising a network marketing system that will recruit and educate your prospects in the most useful way achievable!

The first step is to try the products. Not for a day or two, because you are excited about your upcoming millions, but for a couple of months. Get a track record on how the company completes orders. Are all products in stock, or are things being back ordered? Does it take a long time to fulfill your orders or do you get timely deliveries? Do the products turn your skin green, or make you sick to your stomach, or is your skin soft and silky and your stomach is flatter than it was before you started? Just those answers will help you in so many ways! Then and only then, should you start promoting your products to, well, anyone that will listen. It is imperative that you build a foundation of product users. It also allow you to find out more about the company. Are your customers getting complete orders? Are you commissions correct and on time? How is the Customer Service when your customer has a problem. Would you not do these things if you had a retail store? This is how you build some part time income, assure yourself that the company lives up to the promises you were made and if you are satisfied with their performance, now you can start to talk more about the business opportunity. Now, if you are just starting out in this industry, and hopefully you are, because the biggest new problem with this industry are people called MLM hoppers.
