In my opinion, medical transcription at home jobs can offer a world of opportunity for an individual. Transcription services provide the medical community with an essential service. The government prefers my medical documents in electronic form. This means there is plenty of jobs in medical transcription all over the country. Today’s doctors and nurses do not have the time it takes to complete the enormous electronic requirements. After spending the last 15 years of my life in and out of school, I came to the conclusion that working online as a medical transcriptionist is an attainable goal. I have been looking for a medium to expand my biological medical and electronic skills. In my opinion a career in medical transcription would benefit me a great deal. I have been bouncing around looking for a means of making a decent income. I have also been fascinated by the concept of working at home for quite a long time. I have always considered myself a potential physician even though, at times, it seems unlikely to happen. I currently have a degree in Molecular Cellular biology from the University of Connecticut. I achieve this goal because of my internal desire to help people in need. I have been plagued by numerous difficulties in my alternative field of study, transportation. My studies in the field of transportation help finance some of my schooling. The industry has become frightful in my opinion and I am ready for a change. Although I am somewhat new to the medical transcription industry, I have learned so far that medical transcriptionists have numerous works from home opportunities. This is definitely an advantage in today’s society where the work community is enslaved by their commute. This opportunity seems to be something that could potentially change my life around. I am not sure if my family would appreciate seeing me working around the house all day. I certainly would not mind it. Computers and information technology can be used to create an efficient work environment at home. Future MT sounds like a unique opportunity to learn medical terminology and increase computer skills simultaneously. Most of my computer skills come from course work and completing homework assignments.
This has helped me retain the most pertinent information I have learned in school so far. SN:0MA9N2ESY  I am confident that, if given quality professionally made curriculum, I will be well qualified to assist the medical community in transcription matters. I am excited by the fact that Future MT concentrates on work at home positions. A career in medical transcription would allow me to finally establish a presence in the medical industry. It will also give me an opportunity to see real medical professionals at work. This will hopefully instill a since of professionalism that I can carry with me everywhere I go. I am also looking forward to making a decent income for a change. There is nothing like steady work in your life and money in your wallet. It is definitely a “win, win” situation when you can make money and help your community at the same time. Therefore, I would be willing to put forth a considerable amount of effort toward this program. My educational background should allow me to breeze through the material.

I would like to become a medical transcriptionist as I have been working in the medical profession for the last ten years. I started as a CNA and am now, currently, a LPN. I would prefer to be able to work from my home while, in a way, remaining in the same field. Working from home, gives me more opportunity to spend time with my family. I have a large extended family. At this point, I do not have the opportunity to attend after school events due to my hours. My nephew frequently asks to come and see me or for me to come to his events. I do not like having to tell him “no.” As I am not able to have my own children, I enjoy the time I am able to spend with him. I will also be an aunt again this January. I would enjoy having the time, to build a relationship with this new addition. I have many other cousins that I enjoy babysitting for, when I can. My family refers to me as a “large child” because I enjoy playing games with the little ones whenever I can. Working from home, would give e the opportunity to do this more.

I am looking to step back from my personal involvement with my clients. In the years that I have been in the health care field, I have seen many deaths and much heartbreak. The more time I spend with someone, the harder it becomes. I have enjoyed my time with my clients, but need to take a step back at this time. I just had to say good bye to someone that was very close to me. I have taken care of her for the last seven years. She was another grandma to me and this time is very sad. I already have a strong background in the medical field and a strong understanding of computer software. I would like to be able to take a deep breath and still have a rewarding career. SN:0MA9N2ESY

I see, most every day, how important transcription is to the health care field and am looking forward to getting my feet wet. Future MT has appeared to be the most user friendly course that I have come across. The time I have spent searching this page, has not frustrated me. It only makes sense, that the course itself would not frustrate me either. It is more comforting to see the “BBB” logo as well and be able to navigate there in one click. Also, everything is not jammed onto a page, seeming to scream, “This is what you need to read first! No! You should read this first!” It is spread out while still being easy to find. I am also looking forward to winning a full scholarship for the course  and help finding medical transcription at home jobs. This shows everyone, that Future MT is very serious about seeing people succeed in the course. I am looking forward to completing the course and having help in being able to find jobs in medical transcription. I will have my springboard into a new avenue of my life with a new career.

Since I found out that I was pregnant with my first child a lot has changed in my life. My job fired me for wanting to attend school, I was unable to find a job before I started showing, and once I started showing no company would hire me. I started looking online for some jobs typing work home or a career that would bring income into our home and that would allow me to work from home. After doing a lot of searching basically fishing through scam after scam I came across medical transcription at home jobs.

I started researching the job description, the flexibility, and the open opportunities and fell in love. I have always been a dedicated employee at whatever I have done but since I have gotten pregnant my goal has been to find something I would enjoy, something that would allow me to spend time with my newborn and still make a great living. Finding out about the opportunity that you provide has been like a dream come true. I look forward to this career because it’s not just a job; it’s something that seems so rewarding in so many ways.

I want to have the chance to spend time with my son just doing everyday regular things I don’t want to miss anything. Just the other day I had a chance to listen to a dictation sample and transcribe what I heard. I had no idea that it would be that easy. I know that once you get into the profession that the dictation will obviously get harder but I have always loved a challenge. Now that I have had the chance to see what a medical transcriptionist’s job entails I can hardly wait to break into this career field. Since I have not worked in several months things have been incredibly tough but I believe in never giving up on what you believe in life. SN:0MA9N2ESY

If you want something you have to go after it and make it happen and this is my way of doing just that. I sincerely thank you for giving me the opportunity to write this essay to show not only my interest in this field but to also share a little bit of my story with you as well. I hope that in reading this essay submission you will see me as a possible success story for others as well as myself. I have so much to offer this field and this field has so much to offer me. Not just flexibility in the schedule but the location is a big plus for me. I will have an educational background that I can be proud of and that I can show my son that anything is possible as long as you stay focused on your goals.

It seems as if my whole life I have been dreaming about becoming somebody. What I mean by this is I have always felt insecure about being JUST a stay at home mom. I use to watch a lot of my friends go off to work every day and they had children. It made me feel like I wasn’t as good. I have been a long time stay at home mom for over 22 years. I am fortunate that I was able to stay at home with my children, but I always felt I needed more. Now these feelings that I have had for so long about really feeling like a nobody and wanting to become a somebody in the career world are all about to change. In 2005 I had some significant changes in my life. I went through an ugly divorce that has left me a lot less financially dependent than I ever wanted to be or thought that I could ever be. It makes you realize how definitely, valuable some type of education skill is to have. Thus always having medical transcription at home jobs in the back of my mind.  Jobs typing work home has always intrigued me. I feel through my experiences and challenges since my divorce that Medical transcription training could have already helped me so much. I would have never had to go through some of the trials I have had to face would I have had and finished my previous training. So here I am at last! Ready and willing! Some of the advantages of working in the MT industry are definitely about flexibility but my biggest, biggest, dream is to have a home base business (yes in my home even though I was there for many years) but to be able to rely on my own Home Base Business INCOME!! Huge to me! Some of my educational/career goals that I would definitely like to accomplish is First: Finishing this course. Second: Working out of my home performing my skills I will learn. Third : Becoming financially dependent with my own income, never again having to count on anyone but myself. Fourth: Most important to me, feeling my rewards of accomplishment, and finally knowing that I now feel that me, (is someone) and finally my dream is no longer a dream . It is my new reality! My MT Career! All out of my Home Sweet Home!

I recently was affected by the current economic downturn & the company that I had devoted many years to suddenly went bankrupt. The private sector position that I held provided me with an excellent salary with outstanding benefits. The felling of hopelessness, fear and stress was indescribable. I was extremely fortunate to secure another position with excellent benefits but a salary level 35% less then was accustomed to. I gratefully accepted the position but was now faced with the 35% delta in my income. My initial focus was to provide for my children. As my children are preparing for college I am looking for additional ways to supplement my income in order to allow my children to attend college with no debt.

When I was of college age my parents could not afford to send me to college so the entire college experience was left to me including the financial responsibilities. As the cost of education is rising, as well as general living expenses, I determined this was going to be more difficult for them. I do not want to minimize their college experience with the worry that once they completed college they would be faced with mounds of debt as they were entering the workforce. Becoming a medical transcriptionist would allow me to supplement my current income in order to cover the expenses they will incur in the coming years and to start their careers with a positive outlook. As the population ages and the need for more medical care increases the MT industry as well as Future MT allows greater flexibility for individuals to not only service the medical industry but also provides the flexibility to complete the course work on my schedule and once I graduate work with my existing schedule. I have always had an interest in the medical field but my career choices had taken me down a different path. This additional experience would allow me to be involved in the medical industry via a different avenue. Although my immediate goals are to supplement my income, I feel with a background in medical transcribing and the options it can provide to me, coupled with my prior work experience & education, I can look to the future as a business owner and manage my own company and hopefully in the future help individuals with similar situations like myself. My goal is to become self sufficient and to investigate all avenues that can provide me with that freedom. During my research of possible home typist jobs, I found that the Medical Transcription industry has the best offerings with its flexibility not only in the course work but also with career options it has to offer. For a hardworking, highly motivated individual like myself I will be able to set a goal & achieve it. I am excited and optimistic about the potential that Future MT can provide as well as the opportunities that lie ahead of me.

After looking into medical record jobs, I wanted to become a medical transcriptionist because it would allow me to participate in my two favorite things — words and medicine. I love the medical field. I went to college to become a doctor. However, I was unable to complete that major and ultimately graduated with a degree in criminology. My criminology degree allowed me entrance into the legal field where I discovered my love of words and typing. I have been a legal secretary for 17 years and love word processing and formatting documents. Being a medical transcriptionist gives me the opportunity to be on the inside track of the practice of medicine without actually being a doctor and allows me to work with words and formatting. For me, there are two advantages of working in the medical transcription industry. The first advantage is having the ability to use the skills I have learned in the legal field and apply them to working in the medical field. As a legal secretary I regularly transcribe legal documents and format them to fit court standards. In working as a medical transcriptionist, I will be able to use these same skills that I have honed over the past 17 years. The second advantage of working in the medical transcription industry is the great flexibility. There are many medical transcription at home jobs available. After I’ve established myself with my future employer, I can begin transcription on a full-time basis and get rid of my daily 3 hour commute. After I’ve worked in this avenue for a few years, I have the option to open my own transcription company. The major advantage of working in medical transcription is that the sky is the limit as to the avenues available to me. The reason I am interested in training with Future MT is because the curriculum seems just as extensive as the training I received at a medical transcription school 10 years ago. I completed an 18-month program 10 years ago and transcribed authentic doctor-dictated reports. I was taught the different formats for the various types of reports and I was taught punctuation and grammar rules. It was very intense training and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, by the time I finished the program the school was about to go out of business and was unable to provide me with job placement as they had previously advertised. As I read through the materials regarding the Future MT course, it reminded me of the course I had previously taken. I believe Future MT will provide me with the intense refresher course that I need to begin my career as a medical transcriptionist with the advantage of having student support every step of the way. Initially, I would like to successfully complete the Future MT course and eventually gain employment with a major medical transcription company. I plan to work in this area for a maximum of five years to give myself the opportunity to fully learn this field from all aspects. Ultimately, I would like to open my own medical transcription company in the area where I live. The medical field is continually growing, and I would like to be a part of it.

My husband is going through a mid-life crisis. He met a younger woman at work and now we are going through a divorce so he can be with his “soul mate”. After 37 years of marriage, it is imperative that I find a career that will make me feel like I’m doing something worthwhile and is interesting. I think that hearing and transcribing the different reports, notes, and studies would be extremely interesting and educational. Another advantage to this career path would be that it can pay well. I need to be able to support myself. I believe that becoming a medical transcriptionist would fulfill my needs. The flexibility to work from home is a huge advantage especially since I plan to move from Arizona where there is no significant winter to New Hampshire which has severe winters. Since I’ve forgotten how to drive in the snow and ice, the ability to work from home would be a literal life saver. The advantage of being able to work my own schedule is also important. I’m moving to be near my mother who is 90 years old. She is in excellent health but I need to be able to give her time and attend to her needs if her health changes but still be able to support myself and earn an income. SN:0MA9N2ESY

I wanted to find home typist jobs and when I was looking for medical transcription at home jobs, I found that Future MT’s training course is geared to training someone like me who has no prior experience in the field. Taking the course at my own pace is a plus since I’ve been out of the work force for some time. One thing that impressed me is that MT uses actual physician’s dictation instead of an actor. The voice patterns and noise background would present a realistic dictation and therefore better preparation for the actual job. I believe that grouping the dictations by medical specialty is an excellent way to have the student learn each department’s medical terms and procedures and differentiate between the specialties. The access to their staff to answer questions or give assistance is a wonderful benefit. It helps the student feel that they are not alone with no one at the end of their computer. Finally, at the completion of the course, the access to The Job Assistance Department is a most welcome advantage rather than finishing the course and not knowing how to proceed next to get a job and use the training that was just completed. I plan to work as an MT for quite a few years in the future. I would like to stay on top of the business and keep learning. Eventually I believe I would like to expand my horizons and start my own business. It’s great that there are these options in this career field. It’s not a boring dead end job with no future. That is very uplifting and builds confidence in a person. The more confidence a person has the higher they can reach to achieve their goals.
