In my time in the MLM industry I have seen plenty of complaints. That includes more than a few Ardyss International complaints. Granted, when you consider how easy the internet has made it for people to voice their opinions it is no surprise that complaints about any MLM product are as common as they are.

I want to start off by saying some of the Ardyss International complaints out there do have some validity to them. However, these complaints are in the minority and tend to be subjective in nature. A customer’s dissatisfaction with a product is based on their personal experience and is by no means shared amongst all the users of a product. While people are obviously entitled to their opinions, these complaints are purely subjective in nature.

Like any MLM business, lots of the Ardyss International complaints accuse Ardyss of using false or misleading advertising. Not only is this accusation lodged against the assorted product lines offered by Ardyss, they are also lodged against the money making potential of their multilevel marketing system.

So are the Ardyss International complaints about the product being falsely advertised true? Well, frankly, I’d be surprised if they were not true at least some of the time. While it is incumbent on companies like Ardyss to attempt to police the actions and claims of their distributors, it is not logistically feasible for them to be keeping tabs on everybody everywhere. This means there are bound to be a small handful of less than scrupulous people willing to make claims about Ardyss products that Ardyss themselves do not make, but that is an issue that crops in multilevel marketing period, not just for Ardyss.

Then there are the Ardyss International complaints that argue that the viability of the multilevel marketing system as a business is overstated. I have seen these kinds of complaints more times than I can count in reference to dozens of multilevel marketing systems regardless of how sound they might be. The usual points of contention stem from the alluring promise of getting paid to do nothing from home, and being something anybody can succeed at.

As for the Ardyss International complaints that focus on the business, they tend to split into complaints about some of the widely popularized benefits of an MLM business. MLM businesses are often described as being something that anybody can do. They are also touted as being an opportunity for people to derive an income from their business without needing to work. While both of these statements are true, the MLM business is by no means simple or clean cut.

It is also true that anybody can succeed with a MLM business. Anybody can succeed, if they know the necessary marketing techniques that anybody needs to succeed in MLM. I always take accusations of scams seriously, but have found that all too often in the MLM business people cry foul when nothing in fact is wrong. Either way I think it is important to look at these claims seriously which is why I use a standard approach any time I look into one.

Essentially I mostly focus on two things when looking at a multilevel marketing program that has been called a scam. The actual product, and the business, typical complaints about a scam are focused on either of these key elements and the Ardyss scam is no different from any other MLM program in this regard.

So let us take a look at the product line and see if there is an Ardyss scam to be found there. Ardyss has a diverse line of products that includes health supplements and skin care products as well as their core line of body reshaping garments. I will be honest, I find myself questioning how well some Ardyss products, like their memory improving health supplement actually work. That being said, body reshaping clothing is anything but a new concept.

While some products may in fact be more placebo than power packed, I feel confident that the primary product, their body reshaping products can effectively change the shape of a person’s body through prolonged and regular use, even if it is only by conditioning the body to perpetually try to suck in the tummy or sit up straight. In short, proclaiming the catalog is the Ardyss scam seems heavy handed and inaccurate to me.

Now does this mean that the Ardyss scam is a multilevel marketing business opportunity? In my experience lots of people call MLM businesses scams when they feel they do not live up to the all too familiar promise of either easy wealth, or do they feel it is fair to claim that anyone can succeed in an MLM business.

The truth is it is entirely possible to turn an MLM business into an easy source of steady income. However it is not easy to develop an MLM business to this point. It can take weeks, months, or years depending on your personal goals before that happens, and you can be certain lots of work goes into growing the business to such a degree.

It is also true that anybody can succeed as the owner of an MLM business. Anybody can succeed, assuming of course that they have the requisite marketing knowledge necessary to effectively sell the product and grow their network. Trying to succeed in MLM without understanding marketing is like trying to measure a room without a tape measure.

The only way to find success, and not cry, “Ardyss Scam” as you become increasingly frustrated with your multilevel marketing business, you need a solid grasp of the essential marketing principles which will allow you to succeed in any MLM Business regardless of the product.

I always look at the same three things when evaluating a multilevel marketing business, the product, the company and the marketing materials. By using the same system consistently I find it easier to make objective assessments about a given program or product.

Since I’m focus on marketing materials, specifically the Ardyss brochures, in this article, I will only be discussing the products and company briefly.

First off there is not one Ardyss product there are many. They not only have their line of body reshaping garments they also have their health supplement and skin care product lines as well.

A program with the number of options that Ardyss has is certainly good, but both health supplement and skin care are fiercely competitive industries. Unique is always best when looking at a product.

The company Ardyss has been operating for over 20 years if you go back to the small business that would eventually become the Ardyss Corporation. They started with their body reshaping garments, which means they have got tons of experience in that field under the belt, a definite “plus.”

Testimonials are always popular in multilevel marketing because of the power they can have to persuade customers, but you have to make sure that any testimonial you use is sincere. There is tons of jargon involved in a compensation plan, and while they all have similar ideas each plan will change the specific terms they use, hence the confusion for novices.

Obviously the first portion of the Ardyss compensation plan, or any MLM compensation plan, is the profits that come from retail sales. Like any MLM, Ardyss distributors purchase their products from the parent company, in this case Ardyss, at wholesale price.

40% can be a pretty good margin if you are moving lots of product, and you can always lower your retail price point in an effort to boost volume while shrinking your margin, but you might upset a few people in the process. Besides, if you know how to market well you should have no problem moving product at full retail price.

There are some definite advantages to finding ways to boost your sales volumes, both personally and in your network, but undercutting the competition is not the best way. Obviously if you really want to boost your volumes you need to be using good marketing techniques. This will allow you to generate respectable volume as well as maintain your per unit profit margin.

While its strengths and weaknesses are unique to them, like any multilevel marketing system the real key to viable success is an effective understanding of marketing.
