Think about this for a moment. When was the last time you were approached and you were sold to?I’m sure if your day had not been that good and you wanted to be left alone, nothing could have convinced you to buy a product from that salesperson. Of course this doesn’t mean you’d never buy from someone; but everyone has bad days when they can’t be convinced to come out of their mood.
We all know that selecting a good time to sell is important; but there are so many people who want to force their MLM opportunity on us the very day they meet us. Then maybe a better approach would be to get to know someone before you decide to give them your 1 min sales pitch. Your not going to get 100% closing but it sure will beat just blasting everything that moves with your 1 min speech.
People keep making this error when they market their business on the internet. You join a social network or business network. You get an e-mail from a perfect stranger asking to be your friend. You accept because you want to grow your network and potentially get a MLM lead. They follow up right after that with a giant e-mail with their pitch for you to join their MLM opportunity. I don’ t know about you but I’m not buying or joining anything from anyone I don’t know. So how do I get to know them? Establish easy communication with them by making comments on their blogs, offering information, mailing them and once you’re created good rapport, you could think of starting your sales talk. I agree this may not be the fastest route to sales; but it’s more effective. Reasons?
1) Validates that the person is actually there. What use is blasting e-mails to people who aren’t active.
2) You’ll know the person well enough to ensure that they’ll be able to work well on your business.
3) You’ll get to know that person well enough to speak to them verbally. This is a technique to secure their cooperation.
4) Maybe this person might not be the person who could be your next associate or customer but then again they could refer you to someone who might.
Get the person to be comfortable with you first. If they have something to sell, lend them a ear to know about their products; don’t discourage them outright. You get what you give. If you delete ever single e-mail that comes your way then how do you expect someone to read yours? Utilise whatever information you get in this process to get to know what’s happening around you. MLM network marketing leads are everywhere if your looking in the right places.
