I Decided to Enter Into the Medical Field

I have worked in the credit and lending fields for most of my working career. After my layoff last year, I decided to enter into the medical field simply because the credit and lending field careers are limited these days due to the economy. I decided to take my career in a different direction. I knew that my typing and comprehension skills were good, so I started looking towards the heath care industry, medical record jobs, or jobs in medical transcription. My wife has been an RN for the last 15 years and has motivated me to go back to school for EKG telemetry or at least something having to do with the health care. Since the EKG program certification takes about a year and a half to complete, I decided to get some experience as an MT. Hopefully my decision will pay off.

I believe that being an MT will allow me to pick up a lot of terms and verbiage that I would have not gotten otherwise. I like working from home and have the ability to discipline myself to get the job done. I am really excited to train with Future MT simply because of the user friendly environment that they provide. I would like to work MT projects during the day and be with my children in the evenings and the weekends. My wife works the 7pm to 7am shift which would be great for me and my future schedule. Working at home will give me the flexibility to watch the kids when needed as well as save money driving to work and spending money on gas. I know that I will get out of this program what I put into it.

If MT works out like I know it will, I can see myself working during the day and staying in school at night. I can possibly make a career which will take me down the road to success. The MT Transcription class will help me increase my knowledge of certain aspects industry itself. I like the fact that I can go at my own pace. I don’t mind deadlines but many times in an office setting, there are too many chiefs in the tee pee. It shouldn’t take any time at all to learn this material. Again, my familiarity with the health care industry will go a long way. SN:0MA9N2ESY

As mentioned before, this training course will teach me the ins and outs of the medical transcription industry. There appears to be a big demand for qualified applicants. If successful, I will refer this website to others that may be looking for a similar venture. Hopefully, within the next 5 years, I can work as a transcription manager. Since I have worked as a team manager in the past, I should be able to delegate authority with no problems as long as I am an expert in my field. I have not put a plan out there for 10 years down the road but I am sure it will be productive and rewarding.
